Fall into Fashion!
September means the end of our hot summer days and time to gear up for back to school. Relaxing vacations are ending and it's time for some of us to get back to our regular routines. Away go the natural, curly carefree styles and we are transitioning to more structured, smooth designs.
To create those smooth geometric shapes we are seeing for fall, my favorite product choice for September is Unite’s LAZER Straight Relaxing Fluid which helps to control curls, tangles and frizz. It will straighten the most difficult hair and protect it from blow drying and flat ironing
The staff is still in full swing gearing up to participate in the Catiebug Fight to Be Healed 5k run on Sept 26th at the Clifton Commons. We will be putting in red hair extensions for a $10 donation to this amazing cause. Oct 1st we are holding our 3rd BlowDry Bootcamp!! Feeling the heat outside? You should feel the heat in the salon!
This month has been jam packed with lots of hot new things. Our team has rocked out some amazing prom hair, wedding hair and most recently three members of our staff headed down to Manhattan to partake in a three day cutting and coloring course at the elite Redken Exchange!
With the latest color craze and amazing new styles and designs, the staff is reved up and ready to show you all the new tricks in our trunk. A new twist on the 80's as an inspiration has influenced celebs like Rihanna, Jessica Beil, Jennifer Aniston and more.
We are changing the way we design and color hair. There is so much excitement we can't wait to share with all of our guests, so stop in and see your stylist and get ready to be hot, hot, hot! The month of August is going to to be great. Remember track season is here, look your best!
My product choice for August is Redken's Aerate #8 Bodifying Cream Mousse
Mix it with Redken's Hardware Gel to create an amazing soft, beachy wave. Love it!

Mother's Day Contest Winner!
Kristen Hansen is One Hot Mama!
We received wonderful emails about so many deserving moms in the capital region. We wish we could give them all a special day but Kristen Hansen was the lucky mom that the staff chose to be pampered at the salon. Kristen's mom sent us the most beautiful letter saying her daughter was her hero and inspiration. Kristen's the mom of two beautiful little girls and her husband was diagnosed with an incurable cancer several years ago. Since Keith's diagnosis Kristen has taken on the task of being the sole provider for her family while tending to the needs of her young family.
We couldn't wait to tell her she was our winner! She joined us at the salon Thur 5/6 and with champagne in hand relaxed as she had her hair and makeup done thanks to our talented Nicole Mangiardi. She was given a Gorgeous basket of flowers thanks to Lavender Field's Florist and a $75 gift card to Hoff jewelers to pick out something nice. Her family arrived by limo thanks to our friends at Premiere Transportation and was wisked off to a wonderful dinner at the Wheatfield's Bistro in Clifton Park.
